Summer seemed suddenly over thanks to the lingering effects of hurricane Bertha recently but bright, mild, calm weather has returned so, fingers crossed, Autumn will be full of its mellow fruitfulness. And during the summer we've done our best to source beautiful new things, from candles and greetings cards to home decor, to enrich your gift buying for the coming season.
Our faithful friends WoodWick Candles have launched a new range called 'Reserve'. Made with men in mind, they feature chunky, deep-cut glass and a leather tab label. But the woody, spicy fragrances with names such as Driftwood, Oak, Spruce and Canyon will appeal to all those who enjoy warmer scents.
There are also six new fragrances in the classic range including floral, fruity and spicy!
The month of September is known to be one of the busiest birthday months of the year! The week beginning 22 Sept. is also designated National 'Thinking of You' Week when we're all encouraged to send a handwritten note to someone special each day. These attractive rollerball pens from Autograph would make either a thoughtful gift or enable you to send your greetings in style! And there are several other designs. Look here to shop online!
And for whatever greetings you wish to send, we have new card ranges in. These are artisan cards featuring the torn paper mosaic designs of Dawn Maciocia and bird designs by Jenny Price of Dandylion Jack. Nature and woodland creatures maintain the current trend.
We also have striking lino cut designs from Jacqui Watkins of Linen Prints, which also celebrate the beauty of nature and several are ideal for the Autumn/Winter season. In addition we have three tea towel and two mug designs which show how versatile Jacqui's designs are!
If you love the shine of silver, the sparkle of crystal or the warm glint of gold, then you'll want to see these bracelets from Equilibrium. Priced from £15.50 to £18.00 they're super stylish and come attractively boxed. The perfect gift or treat for yourself!
We had planned to show you a couple more pieces such as a console table that arrived mid-August and some cute handmade chickens(!) that we were very fortunate to obtain from maker, Annette Mackie but they have already sold! However, we did manage to pop photos on our Facebook page so, if you use it, please give us a 'like' and keep right up-to-date.
There are other new items and even more will be arriving over the coming months so do please pop in and make sure you get to see them before they disappear!
