Hello and welcome to our September newsletter.
Last month we told you about our new online shop. Since then we have been adding more items (a continuing process!) and are thrilled also to have made some sales including a lovely piece of handmade jewellery by Jules & Fiona.
Do take a look (click link above) and let us know any thoughts or comments you may have. We would love to have your feedback. Please also remember that we can provide gift wrapping and send gifts direct to your family and friends, a facility that may be very useful now that Christmas is on the horizon! And you can shop safe in the knowledge that your payments are being handled securely by Paypal - you don’t need an account and can simply use your credit/debit card as usual.
Remember too that you can keep up with our daily doings by liking us on Facebook. Speaking of which, during August we had a little competition on FB and asked our ‘likers’ if they could identify the location of a photograph that we had adapted for one of our own notecards. The answer was the Roxburghe cloister at Kelso Abbey. Mrs Allen was the lucky winner and received a set of our newest five notecard designs!
The WoodWick candle we have selected for September is ‘Citrus Melon’. So you can enjoy a saving of 20% and keep summer going just that little bit longer! (while stocks last)
New stock has been arriving from Joe Davies, Parlane and Wax Lyrical with more on the way - including things with a distinctly festive feel!
These tea light holders from Parlane in shades of blue/grey have beautiful floral silhouettes and are priced from only £2.99.
Also from Parlane, have you seen these fun ‘hare’ design tea towels, mug and even an apron? Be ‘on trend’ and bring a little bit of nature into your kitchen. We have a squirrel design too!
Beautiful pashminas in 50% silk/wool will make ideal accessories as the cooler weather approaches. £18.99
We are thrilled to have been featured in Small Business Saturday UK’s 100 businesses in the build up to the campaign event on Sat. 7th December. This is an initiative, which is taking place in the UK for the first time, to encourage everyone to support their small local independent businesses. That first Saturday in December is reckoned to be one of the busiest shopping days in the year and lots will be happening then but the principle applies all year round. We’ll give you more news nearer the time!
We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and have been able to take advantage of the super weather that seems to be lingering on. But already there’s a perceptible shortening of the days, so let’s hope for a glorious autumn. As always, we look forward to seeing you!
