July means Harrogate Home & Gift!

Hello and welcome to our July newsletter. Let's begin with the announcement that 4th July has been declared "Independents' Day" for retailers in the UK.

This initiative is intended to draw attention to independent shops within the local community and encourage everyone to support them, not just on 4th July but throughout the year. In the news recently we have seen, once again, some high profile businesses go into administration. Sadly, small, local businesses are equally at risk and so we are glad to support the Independents' Day campaign.

4th July falls on a Monday when we would normally be closed but we will be OPEN specially, and to help you join in the celebration, for one day only, we are having a SALE!

Which means, for example, that you could save £39 on the marble-topped table and £39.80 on the mirror that appear in the display above. Whether you buy a greetings card at £1.20 or one of our larger items, you can make great savings. We hope to see you!

July is also the month when we visit the Home & Gift Trade Fair in Harrogate, which this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary! This is usually a very pleasant opportunity to see new products and select stock for the Autumn/Winter/Christmas season. Although it may seem strange to be selecting Winter stock in the middle of Summer, the weather can often try to help create the right feeling! But we have had beautifully warm, sunny days too, so will keep fingers crossed. We'll let you know how our shopping expedition goes and when you can expect to see lovely new items appearing.

Summer, of course, is a time for fun, relaxation and holidays, so whatever you may be up to, we hope you have an enjoyable time. However, as the celebrations of life, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings,  house warmings etc. don't take a Summer break,  remember that we have a variety of goodies that, hopefully, will fit the bill whenever you may need a gift!

We look forward to seeing you.
