November Update!

In our earlier posting, we promised you details of the lighting and other decorative pieces that had just arrived from Pacific Lifestyle. These things are now on display in the shop, so here are a few photographs. The table lamps, above, came in at very attractive prices, making them excellent value. They range from £45 to £95 each, complete with shade, and you can save an extra 10 per cent if you buy a matching pair! Ideal if you are freshening up the guest room ready for the festive season or simply want to brighten the long winter nights!

Casting a warm, welcoming glow can also be done by these super candle lanterns. The tall, cylinder hurricane lamp is an impressive 45cm high and would look good in any part of the house. At £29.95 (candle and glass beads not included) it is exceptional value. The tradition lantern is also a good buy at £24.50. Both lanterns could easily cost twice as much. The "fruit bowls" are made from recycled glass in Spain. The round one is available in what is called an alabaster pattern, in either translucent white or blue at only £7.95.

You see the bowls again here, along with a banana bowl shape (left), only in blue at £10.95. The large flower-shaped bowl in turquoise and gold looks suitably celebratory for only £19.95. We also have a large platter in a black and silver "starburst" shape (not shown) that is rather more expensive at £39.95. This picture also shows a WoodWick Fusion candle in handblown glass with a 'linen bouquet' fragrance (£14.95); a small vase in turquoise sparkle glass (£17.50) and one of Suzanne Kirk's handmade owls (£8).

More lanterns are available in this cream colour with a gold wash, in three sizes. At only £6.95, £10.95 and £15.95 any combination can make an effective display. As can these friendly ceramic bears! With a crackle glaze and rustic finish, their charm never fails (£5.95 and £9.95).

The shop is bursting with all sorts of wonderful ideas for gifts and home decor, more than we can show here. We hope that many of them could help solve your shopping needs and we look forward to seeing you.

Please note that after close of business on Saturday 27 November, Present Perfect will remain closed until 10 a.m. on Thursday 2 December. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. From 2 December until Christmas Eve, however, we will be open seven days a week:
Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday & Monday 12 noon to 4 p.m.

What's New in November!

Hello and welcome to our Blog. Much though we may not like to think about it, Christmas is fast approaching, which means new stock keeps arriving in the shop.

First on the list is a super selection of gift sets from Berkeley Square Cosmetics 1920s range. We have had BSQ's individual toiletry items in stock for some time but they have now created attractive combinations, ideal for making the recipient feel pampered! And the prices represent great value too.

There are two options in the Fig & Cherry and White Tea fragrances: a gift box containing 150ml body lotion, 125ml hand cream and 100g shea butter soap at £9.95 or a handy travel pouch with 100ml bottles of body lotion, bath & shower cream, shampoo and a small soap all for £7.95. (Please remember that you can click on photographs to enlarge.)

In Rose Petal fragrance is a beautifully boxed set of 50ml eau de toilette and 125ml hand cream for £12.95. We also have special value duo packs in all four fragrances (the fourth one is Lime & Clarysage) of 250ml bottles of body lotion and bath & shower cream for only £9.99. A new supply of their individual bars of soap in a tin has also arrived and, at only £4.95, they make excellent 'Secret Santa' gifts. In fact, we have a variety of items in the shop with price tags under the £5 and £10 mark that are ideal stocking fillers.

From Shudehill, candle plates with sparkly designs in various colours are available in two sizes at £5.50 and £10.50. Red glass tea-light holders, painted with a picture of Santa and a snowman come as a pair at £4.75 or, from Parlane, you could have a pair (unpainted) in two-tone smoked/white glass at £5.50.

Keeping to the sparkly theme, more solid silver pendants and earrings have arrived from JSK Jewellery. These are decorated with cubic zirconia crystals and freshwater pearls. The pieces range from under £20 to around £40, each beautifully boxed. In this instance, the photograph doesn't really do them justice!

Don't forget that we have several gifts suitable for gentlemen too, amongst which are these wooden puzzles (above right). For only £4.50, you could keep someone occupied for hours!

4D Art have branched out with some new designs in their 'Musical Notes' series in the form of these photograph frames/stands (3rd, 4th & 5th from left). We also have a few of their musical motif ornaments and a small supply of mini note hanging decorations. Completing the list is a beautiful figurine of a ballet couple and, from the 'Animal Forms' series, a new elephant. Prices range from £4 for a hanging decoration (box of three shown, £11.95) up to £59.50 for the ballet figures.

In the candle department, attractive gift boxes from Torc contain two large candle bowls; one set is fragranced with frankincense & myrrh and the other with cinnamon spice. They cost £22.75. Before the end of the month, we also expect to receive WoodWick candles in festive fragrances.

Actually, we have received a new consignment this very day from Pacific Lifestyle who supplies us with lighting, decorative objects and recycled glass items. The good news is that we have been able to obtain them at great value prices which will make some wonderful bargains. Once I've been able to unpack and check the goods I'll provide you with all the details.

Last but definitely not least, we have fun, calico moose from Parlane to brighten your Christmas season plus more of the large and small, super soft teddies that were so popular earlier in the Summer. Ideal for the young at heart no matter what their age! Another character who arrived in the shop recently is Hadrian from Eildon Bears (below). He is beautifully handmade in an unusual olive mohair and, at 37cm tall, he is larger than usual. He must also have hankerings to replace Rudolph at the head of Santa's sleigh team because he has a red nose! At £125 he isn't cheap but he would make someone a very special friend.

We have all sorts of excellent gift ideas, so please remember to make PRESENT PERFECT the first name on your Christmas list!
