And so, what news is there today? After our visit to the Home & Gift Fair in Harrogate in July, new stock is starting to arrive. We have more jewellery selections: the first is from Jules Jules. Juli Miller's studio is in Ponteland, Northumberland, where she creates beautiful handmade glass pieces, some combined with semi-precious onyx beads.

A new range uses textile and wooden beads (environmentally sound) to give a very natural, almost ethnic look. See above centre.

Under the label Jules + Fiona, she and her friend make ceramic jewellery (above left) with an enamel glaze. These are distinctly different, chunky pieces, which I love but, of course, your opinion is what counts.

At left, we also have new pieces from Look East. Designed in Australia, these items are inexpensive and allow you to ring the changes! Prices from £5.50 for a bracelet.

In the home fragrance department we are thrilled to announce the arrival of Pairfum. This innovative range not only includes candles, room sprays and wardrobe/draw sachets but also perfumed leaves! Each leaf has a fine coating of fragranced wax that perfumes the air. A minimum of six leaves come packed in an attractive box, which will last for around six months. We also have two styles of stand for use with the leaves; together they turn the leaf into a decorative item which will look good in any part of your home.
Candles £19.95, Leaves £18.95 per box, Leaf Stand £8.95, Room Spray £14.50, Wardrobe Sachet £8.95.

From Shudehill we have small vases in sparkling blue glass (left)and some friendly metal owls (below)! More goods are on the way.

Speaking of owls, have you seen the wise bunch we have, along with some cool cats, all from Suzanne Kirk's Melrose studio? Suzanne makes these simple creatures in different materials, giving each one a unique character and charm. They will help cheer up any room of the house and can sit quietly on a bookcase, bedside table or even your computer work station!
Owls £8, Cats £9 each. (Please note, these are not toys and are unsuitable for children.)

Suzanne has also begun making a variety of dog models. These involve a lot more work and so come with a higher price tag but the personality of each one shines out. Just take a look at (from l to r) 'Wilbur' £24 and 'Cyrus' £30, along with their new friend 'Fritzl' £27!

Of course, we always have one or two of Suzanne's Eildon Bears in the shop. Once again, these are collectors items, made from genuine mohair, with glass eyes and cotterpin joints; each one is unique. Meet 'Brombeere' (that's Blackberry to you and me!). He is made from black string mohair and wears a red silk waistcoat, £65.

There you have it, for the moment. Stock is arriving all the time and we'll let you know when it comes in. Naturally, we have all the usual items too, including our lighting selection and the occasional furniture pieces.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
